Lucie - Šrouby do hlavy (English translation)

English translation

Driving Screws In Their Heads

In a row of dark houses just your window is alight,
the whole city had gone to sleep long ago,
let's face it, and I'm here
and I'm supposed to give up

I keep racking my brains over it, a wild seastorm in my head,
a third person has entered our game,
and I know it,
now what to do?
I wanna roll back the clock.

All he knows are a few tricks,
of making girls fall head-over-heels in love,
a few silly tricks,
you swallow the bait,
but the guy loses interest in you in moment.

Hands in the pockets, my palms are sweating,
I feel like fighting right now,
a solar plexus punch, let the hunt begin,
yeah, I could do that.

You know me, I'm a maniac, hardly anyone can calm me down,
don't wanna play piggy in the middle,
to hell with him,
I'm here now,
like a glowing wire.

All he knows are a few tricks,
of making girls fall head-over-heels in love,
a few silly tricks,
you swallow the bait,
but the guy loses interest in you in moment.

All he knows are a few tricks,
of making girls fall head-over-heels in love,
a few silly tricks,
It's dark and I keep throwing,
It's dark and I keep throwing,
glowing matches to the grass

Author's comments:

The title of the song (Driving Screws In Their Heads) is a metaphor saying that the antagonist of the story likes to seduce girls and make them fall in love with him madly only to leave them alone and disappointed afterwards - (figuratively "driving screws into their heads" with his dangerous coquetry).
