Amargura (English translation)

English translation

Sorrow

It haunts me relentlessly
her mouth that used to smile,
That cruel memory
Lurks over my sleepless,
My own eyes have seen
as she gave him
A kiss with her own lips,
Red like a carnation.

A madness wind
Crossed my mind,
Shattered of bitterness,
I wanted revenge,
My hands were shaking,
But my chest stopped it
Her smiling mouth
I couldn't kill.

It was her love of a day
All my fortune,
I told about my joy
to the fields and the moon.

By loving her so much,
By putting my trust in she,
Today there is in my trace
Only tears and pain.

With distress and affliction
My old wound is bleeding,
Let us drink another sip
'Cause I wish to forget it,
But this profound sorrow
Of love and heartbreak,
Is like weed,
Hard to uproot.

Her image haunts me
From the bottom of my cup,
It's like a condemnation,
Her smile always the same,
Flirtatious and mercilessly,
Her mouth enchains me,
Makes a mockery forever
The ungrateful in my cup.

It was her love of a day
All my fortune,
I told about my joy
to the fields and the moon.

By loving her so much,
By putting my trust in she,
Today there is in my trace
Only tears and pain.

!Hola, Enmanuel, y gracias por tu interés en este bonito tango!
Como le decía a Vale, "bitterness" me parece un poco "bitter", prefiero "sorrow/sadness", pero es, simplemente, una opinión.
Vamos a seguir:
1. Segundo verso - "Her smile on her mouth". ¿No te gusta "her mouth that used to smile"? (Opinión, también).
2. Ultimo verso primera estrofa - "As red like a carnation" --> "As red as..." o "Red like a...".
3. Segunda estrofa, segundo verso - No "it".
Utimo verso - Just, "I couldn't kill".
4. Tercera estrofa (estribillo) , tercer verso = "joyful" --> "joy".
Fifth verse ' "loving you --> "loving her"
Sixth verse - "By put my trust in she" --> "By putting my trust in her"
Verso siguiente - "there is"
5. Cuarta estrofa,cuarto verso - No "it"
Séptimo verso - "are like weeds", y di "sorrows" en el quinto verso para la concordancia en plural.
(No estoy segura si "sorrow" puede ir en plural, tal vez sea mejor si lo pones todo en singular:
"...sorrow
is like a weed, hard to uproot".
No sé lo que quieres decir con "Is hard for booting", la canción dice "hard to uproot".

Al final, "el cristal" se refiere al fondo de la copa", así que puedes decir "the bottom of the cup", como dijiste antes o, simplemente, "glass".

Hasta la próxima

¡Hola, Rosa! Muy bonita canción. Y como siempre, tu sabiduría y enseñanza siempre son bien recibidas...

  1. He cambiado el título a 'Sorrow' ya que va más acorde al estilo de la letra.
  2. En el séptimo verso he puesto todo en plural, ya que si colocaba «are like weeds»  tendría que colocar el resto del verso en plural.
  3. Lo demás lo he adaptado de acuerdo a tos observaciones.

¡Hasta la próxima!
