This is a form of Arabic poetry where two persons have a dialogue but using poetry lines to express themselves (fancy huh? Regular smile ). There are rules: Both should use the same Beher 1, the same rhyme and it should be improvised lines. This form of poetry existed in the Arabian Peninsula since the Pre-Islamic era 2 which means since over 1400 years. And till today, poets in the Arab Gulf states and some Arab countries are still using it! It could be a dialogue between two lovers, or friends or family. Those songs are some examples.

The song lyrics is dialogue style between two, but the lyrics are written by one poet.
