In 1987, Fito released the album "Ciudad de pobres corazones". The songs are about his anger feelings and were inspired after the murdering of his grandmothers.

Mickey 3D - La rose blanche (about Die Weiße Rose, an ill-fated group of anti-nazi German students during WWII)
Jean Gabin - Quand on se promène au bord de l'eau (the song alludes to the Front Populaire social reforms which occurred in France around 1936. It appears in the iconic movie La belle équipe)
There is also the "Sandinista" album by The Clash, named after the revolution in Nicaragua. Washington Bullets, for instance, is about various cold war conflicts of the late 70's.
