Memento Arbori

Ah, the sweet smell of flowers bursting from the buds:
The fruit is born
And within its life-giving flesh
The seed was conceived!

From its rotted remains
It enters the Mother's bosom:
The sapling has awoken
Springing towards the Father's light.

Every daybreak, every moonrise, they remember
Every raindrop, every dew, they remember
Every prayer, every vow, they remember
World without end.

Like the forgotten waves of the sea
So, too, is the lonely twinkle in the night
And beyond the fog that shrouds the past
Lies the road of no return.
