Mi barco peregrino (English translation)

English translation

My wandering boat

The white handkerchief of your hand
remained with you beside the sea,
and your brief and now distant kiss
set me alight with its immortal fire.

And on my boat's parting to other beaches
I have never come to be happy again,
now everywhere that I go
I feel that I have lost you.

Beautiful woman
from a distant and eastern land,
it is through love of you
that I will anchor and I won't go back to the sea.
~ ~ ~
I'll keep my wandering boat
where I learnt what it is to love,
I will permanently alter my fate
and my desires to wander.

Beautiful woman
from a distant and eastern land,
it is through love of you
that I will anchor and I won't go back to the sea,
that I will anchor and I won't go back to the sea.

Apart from the one typo (wantder should be wander) - but I've fixed that now.
