Mi manca (English translation)

English translation

I miss

I miss the sea
and its dear shores
facing immensity,
I miss the mountain
that raises its brow
facing eternity.
I miss to enjoy
my freedom,
two sunny hours,
just two hours
at sunset.
I miss that holy
and so great faith,
people who sing
I miss those
who were young
when I too was,
jokes and laughter,
the true friendship,
the evenings in a café.
I miss them fully
with their questions,
my countrymen,
relatives or unrelated,
so as to feel good.
I need to be back soon,
to tear up my chains,
to make future laugh
and to live in my own way.

Very nice lyrics, Marco...ohh... When I was reading it I felt older than I am, the time passed a little bit of some years plus, just for a while, that means you made a really good job, friend❗❗❗
Just at 5th part in the last line you put a "sa", I think it's a Sardinian thing❕❕❕

Glad you like it. Don't worry for the passing time, it's something déjà vu or perhaps the music is evocative... I don't want you to grow old before time
In the 5th part it was just a typo, I mean "so", thanks for letting me know Regular smile
