Quanti amori (English translation)

English translation

Many Stories

I could tell you
A thousand stories that are already over
Where it was sworn that love would be eternal
But a new glance was enough
To understand that under the sky
There's someone who needs caresses, just like you

I could tell you
That a friend is feeling bad
Having a heart problem, you can heal them
Only you
But I think it's unfair
It's me who is feeling bad
I have a vital need of staying here with you

Many stories are born like this
They come
Like those warm winds from Northern Africa
And warm up all the coldness inside you
And let you grow, decide

Many stories are born like this
They take over you
And there's no way to escape
By now our hands already hold each other more
And they know how to convince us of how much love exists

We will pass the hours
Singing songs
That describe the emotion and how it will begin
Don't let yourself go slowly
It's normal to have any doubts
There's someone that has the same affinities of you

Many stories are born like this
They come
Like those warm winds from Northern Africa
And warm up all the coldness inside you
And let you grow, decide

In my hidden desires
I want a life shared with you
Give yourself a treat tonight, if you want more
You can't hide

Many stories are born here
Accept me
Maybe it was written that it should be like this
We will write new words
The drum will be your heart
My voice will sing to you, stronger

(Many stories are born like this...)
(Many stories are born like this...)

Author's comments:

I decided not to translate this song as 'Many loves' as I was confused on the word 'love' being both countable and uncountable - and not knowing if I should use the plural or not.
