Languages, translations, different cultures, traveling, seaside, beach, old towns, spicy food and a lot more
Italian: it is my native language, I speak it all the the time and I went to school in Italy.
German: it‘s „almost native“ as I‘ve lived here in Germany for so many years now :-)
English: I‘ve been using it almost all my life (I obviously studied it too), still I‘m far from being „perfect“, there‘s a lot of new stuff coming up all the time that makes me go like „hmm, never heard that word before“ :-) in any case it‘s American English.
Turkish: that is my favorite language ever. I can say that I understand it really well because I hear it all the time, my spoken turkish... „idare eder yanı”:-)
French: It‘s one of the languages I prefer to speak and I‘m pretty fluent but I can‘t translate into French because my literary (written) French is just not good enough.
Spanish: For Italians it‘s not a big deal to learn Spanish :-) But we don‘t care if we speak well or not because we understand each other any way :-) Anyway I cannot translate into Spanish, only from Spanish and only easy stuff.
Dutch: I‘ve been hearing it daily for over a decade at work, so one day I decided to start speaking. I understand it very well, except for some dialects, and my spoken Dutch is pretty good.
One more thing: I translate songs only if I speak both languages, I do not translate from translations. All translations are mine. No strings attached :-) if I feel that something may be wrong I write it in the comment underneath the song and if somebody helped me out I also mention them in my comments
Thanks for reading :-)
