between existential and astral planes
I want a God who stays dead, not plays dead.
I, even I, can play dead...
"Nietzsche" by Courtney Taylor-Taylor (The Dandy Warhols)
God is Dead -- Nietzsche.
Nietzsche is Dead -- God.
Nietzsche is God -- The Dead.
(Chronicles of the Dead)
Ржавчина выжженных звёзд
Отражает промежутки сомнительных лет,
Плесень несёт свой пост,
Прикрывая покрытый коростой погост.
"Земля" by Konstantin Kinchev (Alisa)
Well, the stars will never show me now
What really happened: no, won’t show me now...

Making equirhythmic rhymed singable translations if at all possible. ֍ St. Sol ֍
Please understand that equirhythmic poetic translations, adapted to the structure
and grammar of a different language, will never be word-for-word. Translating the
meaning and preserving the form (if possible) are paramount, the individual word
choices are not. Conveying the meaning within foreign language constraints and
idiomatic landscape, making a translation sound natural, preserving the rhythmic
structure as well as all endline and inner rhymes is the ultimate mental challenge.
On the other hand, using some words found in the lyrics to write your own poetry
in a foreign language are not translations and are contrary to this site's purpose.
