Memories of You

A memory, a daydream
Just a glimpse of your face
The images I hold of you can never be replaced
Most of the time it's silent
I really miss your voice
The way you tell a joke and laugh
You're a fool of so much joy

When there are no words, I think of you
When I think of who I miss the most, it's always you
If you see me cry or laugh out loud
With no arms around
What's on my mind?
Memories of you

A picture speaks a thousand words and I've been listening all day
I came across your photograph, and your smile atop the page.
Could sit and stare for hours
I can't believe I've aged
Time stands still for no one
There was so much more to say

When there are no words, I think of you
When I think of who I miss the most, it's always you
If you see me cry or laugh out loud
With no arms around
What's on my mind?
Memories of you

I know that God has worked for you to do
And I hope I don't sound selfish but it's true
I really need to know right now if you're thinking of me too
You're thinking of me too

When there are no words, I think of you
When I think of who I miss the most, it's always you, oh, that's you
If you see me cry or laugh out loud
With no arms around
What's on my mind?

When there are no words, I think of you
When I think of who I miss the most, it's always you
If you see me cry or laugh out loud
With no arms around, no arms around

If you see me cry a lot out loud
And no arms around
What's on my mind?
Memories of you

Thanks, Daniel Regular smile

As for that mysterious line, I hear 'above the page', but that's likely not what she is singing...

"And your smile atop the page"

- Yes, that's what it seems to be. I usually don't associate "page" with "photograph," but it seems culturally--even in the West some of us will print photos on a "page." I am fairly certain that's what it is, though any thoughts/corrections are welcome.

Maybe she came across a picture book where the picture of her loved one was atop one of its pages, and that made her remember everything she lived through with this person.

That's a great point! An instance where it's helpful to look at the song in terms of a story--which can help in the transcribing and translation.
