Zehn Bier zuviel

Zehn Bier zuviel, du machst 'ne Alte an

Zehn Bier zuviel

Zehn Bier zuviel im vollen Wahn
Machst du schon wieder eine Alte an
Der Frust vom Morgen ist vergessen
Du fickst die Alte wie besessen

Zehn Bier zuviel...

Ten beers too many

Ten beers too many and you start hitting on a slut
She's a real woman and you're a top guy.
A cool line, an old tired joke.
It worked, the bitch is in your bed.

And you know quite well
your lust is the only culprit.
And you clear off
like a thief.
Ten beers to many.

You wake up the next morning.
What was her name already? You can't remember.
You're sick to the back teeth with her.
It's all the alcohol's doing.

And you know quite well
your lust is the only culprit.
And you clear off
like a thief.
Ten beers to many.

Ten beers too many, drunk silly,
you hit on yet another slut.
The morning frustration is gone.
You shag the bitch like a maniac.

Ten beers too many.

Author's comments:

The beginning is rather funny, but the song might push the joke a bit far.

Thanks - I didn't realise the lyrics were so rude! Also, no one really says skedaddle in England, maybe something simpler like "run off" would be better.

I don't mind the profanity, but I find the misogyny a bit heavy handed Regular smile
Ok, "skedaddle" was a bit too much. Would "clear off" do?

Clear off is good! Yes, I was surprised by the misogyny - I thought it was just a song about getting drunk.

I was surprised too. The title hints at drinking , but the song deals with another kind of -ing Teeth smile

pls excuse black panther,
but "10 beers too many" sounds in my (german) ears strange. Perhaps too much?
same with " hitting old bag": typo? hag? meant is a woman, who is neither old nor ugly but willing.
Instead of speech (Spruch) I propose saying. Spruch doesn't mean that he will speak a lot, it is a short statement to come into contact with "die Alte"
typo 2nd and 4th stanza: Ten beers to many. (--> too much?)
"Schnauze voll": I found in the dictionary: "to be sick to the back teeth"
5th stanza: "die Alte" is not an "old cow", in the contrary, rather a bitch or "salope" (slut)

Ah ok, I thougt "Alte" meant an old bag. I'll change that.
I believe "too many" is used with countable objects like (glasses/bottles of) beer. I suppose "10 times too much beer" could work, but that's not the same meaning.
I agree "sick to the back teeth" could be more amusing.

In german, one would say: "Ich trank 10 Bier, das war eines zuviel." --> das ist mir nicht bekommen
Aber im Song trank er nicht ein Bier zuviel, sondern gleich 10, d.h. er hat erheblich zuviel getrunken.

I trust your native judgement on this, but I thought "10 beers too many" was just an humourous way of saying "far too much beer".
Or did I miss the idea?

Natur Provence    Thu, 01/11/2018 - 21:09

Your idea is correct, as I wrote: erheblich zu viel.
